GENERAL JOB FUNCTION:

TRASYS, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Architect/Java Developer for a Direct Hire position located in Minneapolis, MN.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Point of Sale Architect will act as a liaison between the Engagement Directors, the Client Architecture Team and the Development team to communicate and coordinate the overall software architecture in both the pre and post sales processes.

Responsible for defining the overall system architecture and high-level design

Engage with prospective clients to understand their architectural needs and gather technical requirements.

Support POS proposal and sales opportunities



MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
POS lead role either at Retailer or as a consultant working with 2-3 large retailers

Proven ability to present to and interact with customers, displaying confidence and the expertise to make product decisions, to develop project plans, and to meet project deadlines

Proven technical skills in analysis and design for complex systems

Seven or more years of proven technical leadership experience and skills in technical analysis and implementation of enterprise software solutions

Four or more years of J2EE and Web Technology experience, application/web servers, and distributed systems

Two or more years of consulting or direct customer interface experience

Requires the following technical skills: EJB, J2EE,
XML, JDBC, SQL, Web technologies such as JSP, servlets, struts, and Apache Tomcat

Effective written and verbal communication skills required in this position


BS in Computer Science preferred or equivalent experience
