Description
Responsibilities:
The Knowledge Engineer is responsible for implementing a knowledge management process and system within the Global ESB. Operate under moderate supervision and will be the front-line for designing and deploying a complete solution that meets or exceeds the Global ESB user requirements. The individual is also responsible for providing advice to internal users in their system deployments and ensure that the system is deployed according to the corporate IT requirements. Define and develop the overall knowledge management and utilization processes within Global ESB SMS and, from this, implement a knowledge management application that effectively and efficiently addresses the customer requirements (timely responses and solution-oriented on a case by case basis). Is responsible for the overall effectiveness of Global ESB Knowledge Management and Self Help Web Site. Lead the design and development of the key knowledge data that will be captured as part of the service processes for re-use as knowledge. Act as a liaison between customer support teams and internal groups to prioritize and resolve business and technical issues. Keep up-to-date on the knowledge management solutions and related technologies bringing knowledge and innovation to ESB in this area.


Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience. A minimum of 5-7 years experience implementing knowledge management processes. Knowledgeable of call center and customer support operations. Strong organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment. Superior communication skills ? written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and proven ability to effectively troubleshoot a situation. Experience in deploying case-based reasoning technology and/or artificial intelligence systems very helpful. Experience in launching a knowledge management initiative highly preferred.df-tc
