BearingPoint GTS is currently searching for experienced LAN/WAN Support Engineers with CheckPoint/Nokia Firewall experience.

Preference will be given to candidates local to the Atlanta office.

Looking for consultants who are willing to do contract-to-hire.

These are shift work positions which run 4 days on 3 days off (Sun-Wed or Wed to Sat). Each day is a 10 hour day (9 a.m. to 8 p.m.)

Resource will be the 1st level of contact resolution for all incoming calls. This position is 50% phone support and 50% hands on support. 80% of all issues are resolved within this group. There are two other resources that make up Level 2 support that the issues will be escalated to if necessary. Resources will be responsible for: Performance Management of the System, Capacity Planning, Fault Monitoring, Development of Security System and Build Process of that system. Overall the resources will need to ensure that the system is running at optimal levels of performance

Skill Set:
--Proven experience with Nokia Firewalls running Checkpoint
-Resources must have previous experience implementing firewalls
-At least 5 years relevant customer support experience in the telecommunication industry
-3-5 years experience working with network security
-Skilled with LAN/WAN topologies and protocols
-Very good knowledge of TCP/IP (protocols , routing, packet filtering, proxy)
-Experience in IP Security domains (Firewall, Anti virus, etc.)
-Strong knowledge on Unix based systems
-Previous phone support and desktop support experience
-Strong troubleshooting and resolution skills
-Must be a good communicator and be able to work in groups

Desired: Telecommunications experience and IP/VPN experience
