Lawson Application Administration Consultant

Link Technologies is currently looking for a Lawson Application Administration Consultant. This is a contract position in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Lawson Consultant will be responsible for maintaining the Lawson Environment on a Windows server using an Oracle Database. Duties will include administration of IOS Remote & Loopback installs, Lawson Portal, Lawson Employee & Manager Self-Server, Tomcat and ProcessFlow. Excellent knowledge of Lawson directory structures, configuration files, servlet containers and CGI programs is required.

Requirements/Skills:

  • Must have minimum of 5 years advanced experience
  • Experienced in applying Lawson environment and product line patches, cyclicals and upgrades. Specifically experience with 8.0.x Lawson environment upgrades on a Windows server that includes a loopback IOS install, Portal, ProcessFlow, Design Studio, and Enterprise Reporting. Application 8.0.x to 8.1.0 application upgrade experience with the HR Suite including Employee and Manager self service and custom code. Ability to manage an upgrade project.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Intimate knowledge of Lawson tables, Oracle Database and ability to directly verify data from these tables using SQL and other tools. Intermediate to advanced SQL experience is required.
  • Management of Lawson upgrade projects
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to work closely with client's system administrators and Oracle DBA's as required for Lawson support
  • Windows script and Korn Shell programming
Additional experience a plus:

  • Lawson HR/Payroll experience
  • Experience with Lawson LAUA, Security and User Account Administration, including RD30 setups, Portal web users, groups and bookmark maintenance
  • Crystal reports
  • Visual Basic / VB NET
  • Lawson Case Tools & Lawson Design Studio
  • HTML & JavaScript
  • Toad
  • Lawson ProcessFlow development
  • BSI TaxFactory experience
