POSITION SUMMARY STATEMENT:
Design and implement technical solutions that support todays current business needs. Support and improve existing production infrastructure. Research and recommend technology changes to meet anticipated business expectations. Provide level II support for application code. Mentor and lead junior developers. Review all aspects of the project cycle from adherence to design, coding and testing standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position will help lead the development teams of in-house and offshore resources.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
Work under the guidelines of managers. Work directly with technical staff of software vendors and solution providers as needed. Lead application developers in implementing projects.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications that an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Skills/Education/Experience:
5+ years of systems development experience (general) with in-depth knowledge of all major web technologies.
Expert level knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, VB.NET, proficiency in Java and C/C++ a plus.
Solid experience with web services (.NET or Java)
Intricate knowledge of design patterns and current coding best practices and tools.
Thorough and complete understanding of request/response loop, session management, HTTP headers, cookies, form posting, connection pooling, etc.
Thorough understanding of ADO.NET and SQL; understanding and experience with complex SQL statements and their optimization (not just experience with SELECT and UPDATE)
Must be familiar with XML (DOM manipulation, SAX parsing, XPATH, XSLT)
Experience with change management tools and processes, including source code control, versioning, branching, defect tracking and release management.
Experience with IIS configuration (virtual directories, IIS security, Windows ACLs, SSL certificates)
Demonstrable knowledge of object-oriented design and development.
Experience with Agile development (TDD, XP, Scrum, etc.)
Experience developing secure applications (role-based security, authorization, authentication, etc.)
Oracle (9i or 10g) experience a plus
XML Schema, XML object serialization
Credit card authorization integration, MS Commerce Server 2002 a plus.
Experience with SMTP, socket communication, host connectivity a plus.
Linux, Apache, Java experience a plus.
Proven ability to bring complex projects to timely and effective completion.
Very strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly learn new concepts and apply them.
Ability to organize workload for effective implementation.
Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
Background in international or multi level marketing type of business a plus.
