Description
SkilGroup, Inc. is in immediate need of a Lead QA Test Engineer - Software. This position will develop and lead test strategy creation and implementation for large projects; provide technical leadership/supervision of the creation, design, execution, documentation and maintenance of test plans/procedures and expected results consistent with change control procedures for automated and manual testing; lead analysis of test results and communication of findings/recommendations to project team members for defect issue and problem resolution; lead test automation tool implementation and deployment in close coordination with test automation staff; and lead the planning and implementation of automated testing for key projects as required.

Other responsibilities include executing Manual and Automated Test Cases, reviewing requirements and providing feedback on testability and consistency. Qualified candidates must have 6+ years software testing methodology, analysis and problem solving skills, project management experience in a software environment, and experience with QA Testing including the creation, design, execution, and documentation of test strategy for one or more projects. Other experience must include implementation and promotion of industry standard test methodologies, testing traceability matrices, and a working knowledge of test tools, automation and platform technologies.

A 4 year degree (or equivalent work experience), Consumer Package Goods Industry, and testing Data Warehouse, Data Mining, Business Intelligence Applications experience is also required. Candidates must have experience with Rational testing tools, Testing Statistical Measures in a Data Warehousing environment, and testing client server and web-based applications.

The following technical exposure is also required: Crystal Reports, Business Objects, Business Intelligence Applications, Proclarity, Whitelight, Ad Hoc Query Tools, Alphablox, Data Mining, Data Warehousing, and MS Office add-ins. MUST HAVE OFF-SHORE MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. This is a contract-to-hire position for a client located in downtown Chicago. LOCAL candidates only, please.
