Description
The Senior Web Programmer is a key position in a fast-paced Web development and maintenance environment responsible for a major transaction-based Web site. Primary developer for J2EE applications to meet business requirements. The Senior Web Programmer is responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle from conception through deployment and maintenance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Work with department representatives to analyze systems needs and write technical specifications providing general design of large-sized transactional Web sites.

Design, develop, update, test and implement J2EE based applications.

Provide leadership and training to junior members of the team.

Troubleshoot transactional Web site errors, issues and problems, applying fixes where applicable.

Experience/Skills
Job Qualifications/Requirements At least 3 years hands on experience working with Java servlets or JSP. Expert knowledge of J2EE technology stack. Expert knowledge of RDMS technology. Verifiable experience managing software development lifecycle. Detailed understanding of OO technology and UML. Detailed understanding of web security issues. Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Extreme attention to detail and commitment to high quality production standards. Bachelor's degree.
