We are currently seeking a Microsoft SMS Consultant for a 6 month contract opportunity. The role will involve the following responsibilities:

- Maintain SMS 2003 system hierarchy and health of 12 SMS site servers and 8,000 advanced clients.
- Create and deploy 1.) MSI packages for software upgrades, 2.) VBS and SMS Installer scripts to automate system tasks, and 3.) Hot fix rollups using SMS (SUS) Software Update Services.
- Create custom SMS queries to provide management with software deployment status, asset inventory (hardware and software), and software metering usage reports.
- Communicate effectively with business units and I/S groups to gather requirements and set expectations for software deployments, monitor and report deployment progress and issues.

Experience/Skills
- 3+ years of Microsoft SMS 2.0 and/or 2003 support experience.
- 2+ years of Microsoft Windows 2000 or XP desktop support experience.
- 1+ years of Wise Package Studio or InstallShield AdminStudio development experience.
- .5+ years of Microsoft (VBS) Visual Basic Scripting development experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2000.
- Working knowledge of Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI).
