Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Network Security Analyst to join our team in Anaheim, CA.

Job Responsibilities:
Participate in the management of security relevant applications (e.g. Anti-virus, Configuration Management, Web Filtering, Secure FTP, SSL, Firewall, Site to Site VPN, End User VPN, SNORT, IDS)
  • Administer SSL and domain certificates.
  • Participate as a subject matter expert or liaison to security advisory committees and audits.
  • Participate in the design, development, and implementation of technical security safeguards.
  • Serve as member of Incident Response Team
  • Perform threat/vulnerability analysis on implementations.
  • Conduct periodic security testing on network, servers, and applications
  • Compose periodic reports, Project updates, and other pertinent documentation.
  • Assist other technical team leads with security-related administrative tasks
  • Assist Information Security Management with security policy, procedures, planning, and training.
  • Participate as subject matter expert for other organizational Projects and initiatives

    Required Skills:
  • 2 - 3 years background in Internet architectures, methodologies, and processes including setup and configuration of routers, firewalls, proxy servers, IDS, VPNs and other security appliances
  • 1-2 years experience in complex networks and network security required
  • Proven knowledge of Information Security management and practice; including professional standards for Information security, guidelines, regulations, and applicable laws.
  • Mental Characteristics: Must be able to exercise appropriate judgment when assessing the needs of the client and determine the resolution best suited for the situation. Requires a high level of initiative and independence. Handle concurrent or multiple tasks/projects efficiently.
  • Physical Characteristics: Vision sufficient to read standard text, read a computer monitor and to drive; speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably in person, over the telephone and in small groups; independent body mobility to stand, sit, walk, stoop, and bend to access a standard office environment; manual dexterity to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and to write. Body strength sufficient to lift up to 25 pounds. Able to work in an office environment, on field assignments and occasionally drive to other locations and work evenings or weekends for special situations.

    Desired Skills:
  • Solid written/verbal skills and the ability to present these ideas and concepts to large and small audiences
  • Past experience with public speaking, and excellent self-management skills.
  • Lead user education and communication as well as post go-live support
  • Security policy reviews
  • Develop and organize departmental documentation, standards and training materials.
  • Develop and deliver process training for new processes or security staff
  • Provide backup to administration responsibilities


    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • A+ preferred
  • MCSE preferred
