Description:
As a mid-level individual contributor, this position is part of an 8 person team responsible for Maintenance, Support, Trouble Resolution, Root Cause Analysis and SLA maintenance for a large, enterprise LAN / MAN environment in the Orlando FL area. In addition to daily SLA compliance and routine break-fix duties, this position may develop and manage small projects to enhance & expand the network, including cost analysis, detailed design, project planning, implementation, detailed documentation and cross-training of peers. The selected individual must demonstrate excellent customer service & team building skills and will be required to routinely interact directly with customers and to participate in & foster a “team environment.” This position will frequently be called upon to diagnose difficult network performance problems and interact with application support teams to diagnose network / application performance issues. This position operates in a 7x24x365 SLA driven environment, requiring flexible work hours.

Education and Typical Years of Experience:
College degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline(preferred).
Relevant technical certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Wireless LAN, etc. (preferred).
5-10 years of WAN / MAN / LAN network engineering is REQUIRED.
Professional experience at an enterprise level in network solutions is REQUIRED.
Wireless network engineering (WiFi / 802.11) experience (preferred).
Router, switch and IP configuration experience is REQUIRED.
IP, DHCP, DNS administration experience(preferred).

Specific Requirements:
Demonstrated, in-depth, LAN / MAN support & engineering experience (5-10 years).
Experience in supporting complex LAN / MAN networks in a large, enterprise environment.
Knowledge, skills & experience with Cisco routing & switching hardware, software, protocols, etc.
Working knowledge of structured cabling systems, network facilities, electrical, UPS, etc.
Substantial knowledge and experience with installation, support & maintenance of WiFi / 802.11 wireless LAN systems.
Experience using packet / protocol analyzers to find and remedy application and network performance issues.
Ability to work alone as an individual contributor or as a participant in a support team environment.
Positive, proactive, “can do” attitude.
Willingness to participate in rotating schedules and share on-call duties.
Ability to respond to on-call / on-site situations in southwest Orlando within required SLA parameters (1 hr max drive time).
