Ajilon Consulting is working with our Brecksville, Ohio client to identify a Network Voice Engineer for a permanent, in-house position.

This position is part of client's Cisco Practice, a single-source provider to their clients for all things Cisco. Join a team of more than 125 Cisco Certified Engineers on staff, including engineers for network infrastructure, unified communications, contact center, IP telephony application development, security, storage and wireless. Our client is a Cisco Gold Certified Partner and has been named IP Communications Partner of the Year for both 2005 and 2004, marking five straight years of Cisco Partner awards due to their high customer service ratings and advanced technology expertise.

Responsibilities:

The incumbent of this position will:

Perform client consultation: plan, design, implement, and support the voice infrastructure
Develop and implement the technical architecture and physical design of the network: analyze existing voice and data networks and recommend solutions
Set up, configure, and test Cisco Call Manager, Unity, Call Manager Express, Unity Express, Cisco LAN switches (core, distribution and access), Cisco firewalls, routers and voice gateways, etc.
Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and provide solutions to complex hardware/software problems
Assist Account Managers during the sales process by educating the customer about new technologies and IP Telephony methodology
Assist in the management of projects using Berbee's project management methodology
Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise computer applications
Participate in various IT projects intended to continually improve/upgrade converged network solutions

Experience/Skills
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years related experience in infrastructure/network environments, with some experience in network engineering (hardware and software), network security practices and designing, planning and implementing LANs and WANs using the latest technology
Experience in PBX and/or Call Center systems engineering experience
Minimum of one year experience in programming or analytical work; consulting experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
CCVP, CCDP, or CCIE certification preferred
Experience with router configuration, knowledge of voice mail, unified messaging, ACD and IVR systems
Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
Willingness to travel up to 25%
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and end users
