Description
Genesis 10 seeks an Oracle/Sybase Database Administrator in downtown Milwaukee beginning ASAP.

Provide system administration support for Oracle and Sybase Database systems and related products. Responsibilities include ongoing system administration support, troubleshooting, and some project work.
Activities would include Database Software Installation and Configuration; Establishment and maintenance of Database Backup/Restore/Recovery Processes and Procedures; Database Server Monitoring and Performance Tuning; Consultation support for Database Administration, Application, Development, and UNIX Administration Teams; Problem resolution, reporting, and tracking; Administration of database middleware software, processes, and procedures; 24 x 7 support of database related products. df-tc

Experience/Skills
The ideal candidate would possess at least 3 years of experience in one or more Oracle products including Oracle 9I and 10g Enterprise Server, Oracle Transparent Gateway for Sybase and, RMAN along with 3 years of experience in one or more Sybase products including Adaptive Server Enterprise (ASE), Replication Server, and Direct Connect. This includes experience in troubleshooting problems as they occur in each of these environments.
