East side company has an opening for the following:Job/Assignment Description: Repairing Dell hardware that is under warrantyJob/Assignment Required Skills: Strong computer hardware troubleshooting and repairing skills.Job/Assignment Preferred Skills: Knowledge with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Windows, and the Break Fix Tracker database. Additional information: Diagnoses, repairs, and refurbishes PC's, laptops, printers, computer peripherals, and/or miscellaneous hardware equipment in order to extend the life cycle of Progressive's computer equipment. Maintains an inventory of computer parts and documents all repairs performed. Orders PC parts as necessary. Coordinates with external vendors to address various issues or to resolve warranty needs. May serve as a technical resource for other areas in the PC configuration process. Applies acquired PC maintenance skills to complete assigned tasks.  Works on assignments that are routine but recognizes accepted practice and is able to apply this knowledge and judgment to more difficult problems. Typically receives general instructions and works under minimal supervision. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 40% Refurbishes computer hardware and peripheral equipment 35% Troubleshoots routine and moderately difficult computer hardware and peripheral equipment problems, which includes providing guidance to lower level PC Technicians or other groups as needed. Works with a higher-level PC Technician to resolve more complex problems. 10% Reviews problem resolution database; reads correspondence about documentation changes and follows procedures per the change; and participates during turnover meetings and incorporates information into daily work assignments. 5% Orders replacement PC parts as needed. 5% Researches warranty information on an as needed basis and follows process to schedule warranty repairs. 5% Monitors work queue database for scheduled work assignments.

Experience/Skills
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: -High school diploma with additional education and/or training, including A+ Certification, and at least two years of PC technician experience. - Strong computer hardware troubleshooting skills. - The ability to operate a PC and its associated software, and a strong working knowledge of how computers and computer hardware operate.
