Description
Trasys is currently seeking a Peoplesoft Developer for a 3-month contract to permanent position in downtown Cincinnati.

Responsibilities:
Provide maintenance support for GL and AP financial modules, including rotating on call for off hours support.
Perform medium to complex system configuration, maintenance and solution implementation for system bugs, upgrades and enhancements.
Gather requirements and write technical specifications for application changes.
Provide maintenance and configuration of various PeopleSoft tables.
Assist in reporting efficiency improvements within PeopleSoft using nVision and Crystal Reports.
Develop and conduct Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing for production issues, enhancements and upgrades.
Assess upstream and downstream impacts of system changes.
Identify alternatives to solve business solutions.
Responsible for creation of test plans/scripts and validation of test results for all Enterprise Change request impacting financial system.
Meet and work with customers to understand their business processes and recommend system enhancements to improve business processes utilizing current and emerging technologies.
Adhere to established process/procedural standards.
Learn new software tools and skills as needed.
Establish an open relationship with customers, teammates, and other members of the ITServices organization.
Keep open verbal and electronic communications with all areas concerning the reporting and resolution of issues.
Document issues and their resolution in appropriate forums.
Provide accurate and timely management status and time reporting.
Participate with management to complete performance plans and performance results in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Systems (or equivalent experience).
5-7 years of IT Application experience required, designing and developing in PeopleSoft Financial systems v8 or higher.
5-7 years of experience working with PeopleTools, PeopleCode, SQR, SQL and nVision.
5-7 years of experience with PeopleSoft Financial Modules: GL and AP.
5-7 years of experience with system development, testing, deployment and documentation.
4-6 years of experience with mainframe technology, including JCL and COBOL.
2-4 years of experience with writing SQL.
4-6 years of experience gathering business requirements and writing technical specifications.
4-6 years of experience writing and executing test cases.
BS/BA Accounting, Finance, Computer Science or related degree.

TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience in SQR, PeopleTools, SQl and Crystal Reports.
RDBMS knowledge (preferably Oracle 9i) is desirable.
Strong leadership, consultative and relationship building skills.
Must be able to resolve problems of varied complexity independently and quickly through troubleshooting and analysis.
Requires knowledge of PeopleSoft architecture and typical infrastructure configuration.
Requires solid knowledge of SQL and programming for database table access.
Must demonstrate ability to analyze business and user needs, document requirements and translate into technical specifications.
Requires strong communication and documentation skills to allow business and technology teams to agree on what needs to be accomplished.
Requires excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work effectively with peers, customers, and third party vendors.
