Production Control Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION

Candidate will have a strong knowledge of BMCs Control-M scheduling software as it relates to the actual day-to-day use of Control-M. This would include knowledge for both mainframe and open systems (distributed) as it relates to creating, monitoring, and support of jobs.
This would include:
- Creation and deployment of processes (jobs) in both environments. o This would include experience with Control-M Desk Top to accomplish the above.
- Understanding and using the functions of Control-M including: o CMEM rules (event manager) o Conditions coding o Control-Ms scheduling criterion o Research experience with Control-Ms logs and tables. o Calendars within Control-M.
- Control-M understanding and use on the mainframe.
- Use of Control-Ms GUI for both mainframe and open systems.
- Provide installation and support for agents on Windows and UNIX servers.
- Customer Support: o Setup up in-house customers to use Control-M. o Train in-house customers in the use of Control-Ms GUI. o Internal support for day-to-day processing and projects.
- Work with vendors on upgrades and issues when necessary.
The successful candidate also needs:
- TSO
- SDSF
- JCL
- UNIX and Windows experience
