Description
Genesis10 is seeking a Program Manager with Cable Industry experience for a major client in El Dorado Hills, California.

This position provides the successful delivery of broadband cable and satellite projects assigned to the Solution Services Department. These projects include, but are not limited to, conversions, migrations, customer-funded special projects, PSG engagements and others.

The Program Manager will work closely with peers, customers, project and technical coordinators to successfully administer project planning, initiation, monitoring, and data mapping with primary emphasis on the successful delivery, execution and/or mplementation of projects either on-site or remotely. On-site implementation of projects will also include training customers on Amdocs software, understanding and implementing customer policies and procedures in relation to the way they will do business on the software, troubleshooting data and software issues and assisting the customer with financial and collection balancing.

Up to 80% travel is required based on project requirements and specific position. May also ocassionally require 24/7 on-call support.

Responsibilities:

- Working closely with the other members of the team.
- Lead the delivery of successful projects.
- Meeting defined milestones including, but not limited to, project planning, requirements gathering, data mapping, project scheduling, and monitoring.
- The primary focus is on the successful execution of projects including data file audits, conversion implementations, implementing conversion plans, running conversion programs or other aspects of executing project tasks.
- May require either on-site or remote (from Amdocs office) support.
- Provide project reporting as needed which may include monthly reports, status reports and project documents.
- Keep up to date on any new software requirements and changes to the various software products supported which may include, but is not limited to, DDP/SQL, DDP/F, Amdocs 6, Collabrent and the DDP/SQL/Amdocs Hybrid environment.
- Participate in project and/or team meetings.
- Communicate with Project Manager/Group Lead and Project Coordinator on status of projects on a weekly basis and keep them informed of any outstanding issues and pending project impacts.
- Assist project lead in achieving business outcome.
- Participate in the development and refinement of best practices and processes.
- Interact professionally with peers and customers during the conversion or migration process.
- Negotiate with all parties involved in the conversion or migration process.df-tc


Experience/Skills
Required Skills:

- Data entry of customer paramater set-up.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Services or related field or previous work experience in cable television industry.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret and explain technical concepts clearly and in user friendly terms.
- Strong interpersonal skills required to:
- Plan and direct small to medium-sized conversions or migrations independently.
- Interact professionally with peers and customers.
- Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Ability to plan, supervise and direct the efforts of peers and/or customer personnel.
- Ability to accept direction from peers and/or customer personnel.
- Flexibility required to accommodate changes in the conversion or migration schedule and/or priorities.
- Initiative required to meet scheduled conversion/migration milestones and completion dates.
- Good technical skills required to identify, analyze, diagnose and/or resolve moderately complex software problems.
- Ability to work with equal effect independently or as a part of a team obtaining the same positive results.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to travel at least 80% of the time.
- Hands on experience or working knowledge of current cable television industry practices and procedures.

Desired Skills:
- Previous experience or knowledge of DDP/SQL, DDP/F, CSG or Convergys software platforms.
