This is a Virtual Position and can be worked anywhere in the United States from your home or local ACS office with 50% Peak Travel

Project Lead – Claims Functions

Responsibilities Related to the Project
  • Schedules and reports functions and activities of claims teams

  • Identifies issues and solves problems for the claims teams; facilitates implementation of the claims function

  • Creates and supports a team environment; ensures that members of the team are cross-trained in different Alaska Health Enterprise components

  • Emphasizes the importance of all levels of the organization operating as a quality-driven unit

  • Responds to customer requests in a courteous, timely, and informative manner; ensures adequate backup and recovery for vital functions

  • Monitors all contractual requirements for claims functions to ensure they are met and that all deliverables are completed on schedule and meet customer expectations

  • Coordinates the testing activities of the claims function teams from claims capture through payment

  • Ensures that sufficient resources are available to achieve claims functions objectives in accordance with published schedules and contractual commitments

  • Prepares written status reports and other project management documentation

  • Coordinates claims conversion with conversion team

    Required Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree

    Preferred Prior Experience

  • Team Lead for one or more subsystems related to Claims Processing related functions (or for a subsystem that heavily interacts with claims processing) during a development project for the latest generation of an MMIS product
  • Strong overall understanding of MMIS related claims processing and Medicaid program operations
  • Prior technical experience with health care claims processing systems from the payer side

  • Prior program experience with health care customers and their performance issues

  • Prior management experience responsible for supervising multiple -5 teams of business support analysts
