Our client, an Industry Leader is searching for a top notch Infrastructure Project Manager for a long term consulting opportunity. Direct and monitor activities for medium to large, medium to high-risk technology-based infrastructure projects, or pieces of larger projects, from initiation to delivery. Projects may cross platforms, applications, and/or business lines.
Work with clients and/or business partners to develop cost estimates, requirements, design alternatives, and project schedules for new system initiatives. Provide risk assessment.
Manage requirements acquisition and project scope. Work with architecture department to recommend logical project iterations. Produce, monitor and deliver artifact deliverables.
Responsible for overall project coordination, including managing scheduling, assigning tasks, motivating resources, prioritizing work and projects, and problem resolution. Monitor project status in comparison to cost/time projections. Adjust project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
May facilitate Infrastructure Change Control Board. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Provide consistent and comprehensive status reports, project updates, and ongoing cost analyses, significant issue tracking, and communication with project team, business lines, and management levels on a regular basis.
Possess strong knowledge of project management theory and practices. Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for the technology department to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations. Work may be done under the direction of more senior technical project manager.

Experience/Skills
Core Competencies:
Strong high-level understanding of network & system infrastructure including Telecomm, LAN/WAN, Server (Both PC & UNIX), & Data Center architecture.
Previous experience with data center migrations preferred.
Manage Client Integration projects, including new client integrations, migrating existing clients to new platforms. Also, will integrate or migrate vendors.
This role will be client facing - must have experience dealing with external clients and internal Sr. Business, and Tech Managers.
Must be able to effectively communicate project status (both verbally and written), project risk and risk mitigation plans to clients and internal stakeholders.
Understanding of project structure and process.
Ability to plan, track and manage the detailed tasks and deliverables within a project.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good leadership skills.
Functional knowledge of one or more disciplines with the software lifecycle.
Ability to discuss and negotiate complex tradeoffs with all levels of IT management.
Significant hands-on experience in one or more discipline areas within the software lifecycle.
PMI PMP preferred. If not PMP, qualifying candidate will be expected to certify immediately.
RUP experience a plus.
Prefer Real Estate industry experience for this role.
Good leadership and communication preferred since there is external coordination required.
