Description
We are currently seeking to fill a Project Manager position for our client in Schaumburg, IL. We invite you to review the position requirements below and apply today if your skills match our need.

Responsibilities:
- Manages one or more medium to large-sized projects to successful implementation
- Drives and champions project activities that include, but is not limited to, assessing variances from the project plan, gathering metrics and developing and implementing changes as necessary to ensure the project remains within specified scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives
- Directs and coordinates the activities of a project team to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget to include communicating individual roles and project expectations
- Submits regularly scheduled progress reports and updates to the management and project stakeholders
- Formally tracks and manages project issues and provides proper escalation
- Project integration management including a Project Plan document, project execution, and formal project change control
- Participate in the portfolio change control board process that includes scope planning, scope verification and formal scope change control
- Risk Management including risk identification, risk analysis/mitigation, risk monitoring and control
- Project cost management process that includes resource planning, cost estimating, budgeting and cost control
- Ensures compliance with policies/procedures for the methodology and best practices including establishing guidelines to ensure compliance by assigned project members

Qualifications:
- Four year degree in CS/MIS or related experience desirable
- Experience utilizing a structured project management methodology and formal tools/approaches is required
- Strong facilitation skills to lead requirements and design sessions
- Experience working with structured software development lifestyles
- General understanding of and experience with Information Technology Concepts
- Analytical skills to evaluate information gathered
- Advanced PC skills using Microsoft Office products and MS Project
- Managing complex information technology related projects, substantial work experience and knowledge about information technology related projects
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint).
- Knowledge of UNIX, Oracle, OO, UML, XML desired
