QA Automation Tester

Employment Type: 6 month Contract to Hire

Job Description/Responsibilities:
QA Automated Tester needed to work in a Fortune 500 production environment to test thin client (web) applications built in a WebLogic Portal environment. Tasks include using the clients open source testing tool called WATIR for automated testing. Other tasks include assisting in the creation and modification of test scripts, creating test plans and test cases based on user input, and contributing to the development of standards and procedures for testing within an automated QA environment.

QA processes and methodology


Qualifications:
2+ years of recent experience with automated QA tools (Mercury, Watir)
Solid understanding of QA methodology (best practice processes and procedures).
2+ years of experience in an automated QA environment (no manual testing)
Experience testing portals and specifically WebLogic Portal applications a major plus
Hands on experience creating new test scripts and manually modifying existing scripts a must.
Good communication and documentation. Proven ability to work with users to create a test plan and execute.
