JOB SUMMARY: Quality Assurance Manager



Under the office of Strategic Planning and Execution, manage and maintain the corporate quality program. Ensure the corporate quality program obtains and retains quality certifications necessary for the company to compete effectively in designated Government, Defense, and commercial markets. Implement and manage quality assurance measures to achieve corporate quality standards and goals.



Develop, maintain, and administer an appropriate tracking system for corporate-level items of interest. Record and maintain the status of corporate-level actions items of interest to the Office of the President. Report the status of corporate-level action items at designated forums and in bi-weekly reports.



Support the development of appropriate metrics to enable corporate officers to evaluate the execution of strategic business plans. Collect, maintain, and report on metrics directly to corporate officers concerning the execution of strategic plans.



Essential Job Functions:



• Directly responsible for the implementation and management of the company’s Quality Management System in accordance with the ISO 9000:2000 family of standards.

• Directly responsible for the transition of the company’s Quality Management System from ISO 9000:2000 to Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) environment.

• Maintain a working knowledge of quality assurance models, standards, and process innovations within the company’s market.

• Supervise full and/or part-time personnel in the execution of assigned responsibilities.



Key Tasks and Responsibilities:



• Liaison with all corporate departments and line operations groups to ensure that the QMS is fully understood and properly implemented throughout the organization.

• Conduct Management Review Meetings to corporate leadership and report on the status of the QMS and recommend areas of improvement.

• Serve as the Lead Auditor for the organization, provide for all quality-related training, and manage internal audit teams in accordance with company’s audit policy and procedures.

• Make personnel and facilities available to third party assessors in order to assess the company’s Quality Management System.

• Help ensure appropriate correspondence with all internal and external customers on any quality related matters.

• Create and implement effective metrics to evaluate the Quality Management System and other strategic business processes as directed.

• Facilitate the development of new approaches to solve quality and business process issues.



Education and/or Training Required/Desired:



Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or an Engineering discipline from four-year college or university and a minimum of five years experience administering Capability Maturity Model (CMM) – SW/SE or Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) – SW/SE/IPPD/SS is required.



Past work experience directly supporting software development or systems integration is required.
