Description
TradeKing, named the #1 Discount Broker for the 2nd year in a row, seeks a Ruby on Rails Developer to aid in the technological development of TradeKing's innovative trading Community. TradeKing's mission is to reach self-directed equity investors and options traders who use online brokers to manage their portfolios. Our objective is to establish the leading trading community in the financial services industry.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain and extend TradeKing's social networking platform
* Work with designer to implement web UI with CSS and JavaScript
* Offer new technologies or processes to increase usability/functionality

Qualifications and Requirements:

* At least one year of programming and deploying Ruby on Rails applications
* Must be passionate about Ruby on rails
* 3+ years of programming with another web language, such as PHP, Java, ASP or ColdFusion
* Attention to detail

Preferred Skills:

Strong knowledge of one or more of the following:

* MySQL
* CSS and Ajax
* Nginx and memcacheddf-tc
