Description
TRASYS, Inc. is currently seeking a Rules Based Developer for a long term contract in Cincinnati, OH. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Rules Based Developer analyzes, develops, configures and tests Web-based policy issuance applications using commercial insurance software products and industry standard development tools and practices. The Interface Analyst also designs, develops, configures and tests interfaces to third-party software. Requirements: Review and comprehend business requirements documents, use cases and project designs Perform estimation, analysis and design of business processes Create technical specifications and designs that translate the functional design Created by Business Analysts into an actionable set of technical tasks Develop the application (i.e. forms, rules, rates, and user interface) using a rules based configuration product. Unit test, system test, performance tune and debug business process applications using third party software and industry standard tools Design and write custom code to resolve integration issues and work with existing data and coding standards Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues with third party products Support the development of systems interfaces using Java, XLST and XLS Provide project team with status, risk, and scope issues, using issue tracking systems Provide knowledge transfer to other team members Effective communication skills Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Able to work independently or as part of a team Good attention to detail Good time management skills, able to meet deadlines Able to function in a fast-paced, flexible environmentdf-tc

Experience/Skills
Experience: 1 – 3 years Java development 1 – 2 years of XML development 1 – 2 years of experience in a J2EE environment Experience with JSP, Servlets, JDBS Demonstrated experience and knowledge of SQL, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML Experience developing applications in IBM Websphere environments Experience with using communications protocols including sockets and ftp ABOUT TRASYS: Trasys is where your career opportunities become our client's technical solutions.
