Description
Genesis10 in Dallas is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA for a 3-6 month contract position in the Dallas metro area. This project is scheduled to begin ASAP.
Candidate will provide technical support of SQL Server databases including troubleshooting, implementation of physical database changes, performance tuning, capacity planning, monitor critical events, database backups and restores, and impact analysis.
The candidate shall also possess knowledge to support complex environments such as replication, log shipping, and clustering.
Implement physical database changes
Analyze problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective action
Monitor production databases
Gather, analyze, and execute action plan based on capacity planning data
Analyze and tune poor performing databases
Coordinate and perform database migrations
Maintain database documentation.df-tc

Experience/Skills
SQL Server Database Administration including Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering
Transact-SQL
