CDI has an exciting opportunity waiting for you! We are looking for exceptional people! We have an immediate need for a Sales Manager.

This position will be located in the region. The candidates must live in the vicinity of the region.

Extensive knowledge is Instrumentation and Controls for power applications. Power plant process knowledge and utility experience a must. GE Steam Turbine experience a plus. Develop and execute I&C customer strategies for non OEM customers in the region. Establish relationships with I&C level customers at the power plants. Identify opportunities for both short term and long term development. Provide input on pricing, key buying factors and key customer contacts/decision makers for all project opportunities. Provide a win/loss analysis on all major bid results.
Job Family Responsibilities:

Designs overall operational objectives and work plans for direct and/or channel sales, and delegates assignments to subordinate staff. Manages the sales efforts of assigned sales managers in sales units for a territory, defined geographic area, marketing segment or channel(s). Designs brand strategy to meet or exceed objectives established for each brand. Develops strategy for retention of account base and development of new accounts. Designs and leads sales strategy to penetrate accounts. Makes final decisions on administrative and operational matters and ensures effective achievement of objectives.

Education:

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and good knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates full understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management.Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Direction of Others:

Typically manages multiple exempt-level employees and/or other managers.

Key Working Relationships:

Within function, domestic (possibly world wide) inter-organizational and external contacts.df-tc
