We have Sales Engineer/Technical Consultant multiple openings:

Monrovia, CA (2)

Woburn, MA (1)

NYC, NY (1)

McLean, VA (1)



You would be the technical resource going out with the sales force to demo the companies product. The right person will have coded in either Java or C#, and not be afraid to travel. If you live in CA, then you may travel on the West/Midwest, if you live on the east coast, they would mainly be day trips as scheduled. Telecommuting is not an option, however they have a travel department that handles your hotel room, flights and rental cars--all you have to worry about is food and incidentals. This person will work with 3-5 sales reps of this software development company and go along with them to be the technical representation and talk about the product and how it can integrate within their environment.



Position Responsibilities:

The Sales Engineer will analyze the customer’s needs and see how our products apply to those needs. They will then create a vision of how we will apply our products to the customers needs and write a proposal, which represents the vision. Next they will create the necessary technical demos to support the proposal in which the demo consists of solving the customer’s problems. Then the Sales Engineer will present the proposal to the customer and get the customers technical approval for the proposal as a pilot. Finally, they will implement the pilot into the customer’s infrastructure to support the proposal and make sure implementation is successful. The Sales Engineer will also be involved in some aspects of training the customer on the use of our products.



Requirements:

• 3+ years experience as a software engineer

• Candidate must be able to program in Object Oriented languages, specifically Java and/or C++

• Comfortable working with customers in an outward facing role

• Candidate must be able to present technical concepts in a clear manner to customers through demos and proposals

• Willingness to assume responsibility and see processes through to successful conclusion

• Customer training experience is a plus

• Requires the analytical skills and attention to detail necessary to address the details of pre and post-sales systems implementation for customers while maintaining a big picture view of the sales opportunity and customer implementation

• BS degree in Computer Science or related field





MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR HAVE YOUR GREENCARD, due to client/gov't regulations.



Salary starts at 80K....but...they will pay for the right person within reason...PLUS you make commission! :)
