Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., of Marietta, Georgia, the U.S. subsidiary of the $9B international pharmaceutical, plastics and chemical company, is seeking a motivated BI Developer to design and deploy BI applications in support of our Commercial Operations business users.



In this role, you will work with cross-functional professionals in the analysis, design, development and implementation of BI solutions in Cognos.



Your number-one priority will be evaluating and analyzing customers' needs and requirements, then architecting and applying Cognos solutions.



Successful candidates must have 7-10 years of implementation and support experience using Cognos or other BI tools (Business Objects/Crystal, Microstrategy, Hyperion) in a UNIX environment. You must also have




  •  a strong understanding of emerging technologies such as Data Warehousing and CRM

  •  proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL writing

  •  full project lifecycle experience to include hands-on documentation skills (user requirements, testing documentation)

  •  the proven ability to work with external vendors




Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is a plus. Knowledge of TOAD/ETL solutions, Oracle, and/or Metadata would also be a plus.
