Description
Job Description : Manage, document, and ensure compliance with the clients policies and procedures concerning Data Centers. Install hardware, make minor electrical connections, and ensure acceptable levels of HVAC for equipment in the clients data centers. Document any adds, moves, or changes to the current Data Center Infrastructure. Provide customer service in attending to and providing Data Center information to Project Managers and Business Owners. Communicate between vendors and customers in order to set realistic expectations. - Responsibilities : 1.Become familiar with and enforce server racking standards 2.Ensures rack servers, network, security and other devices within data centers adhere to standards. 3.Maintain and troubleshoot data center hardware, electrical, and HVAC equipment 4.Become familiar with and enforce cabling standards 5.Manage/perform server cable installation according to standards 6.Document power, space and HVAC utilization and support the maintenance of the production video systems. 7.Utilize Remedy and Aperture software to document data center requests and changes 8.Submit and gain approval for required Change Management Plans. 9.Maintain and update Aperture drawings and data 10.Administer and troubleshoot software, including SiteScan and Aperture 11.Provide support for server or rack hardware configuration, invoicing and bill of materials 12.Track / manage capital assets within data center using the Asset Management System 13.Work with the clients procurement to obtain hardware, software, and vendor services 14.Participate with the IT peer review process 15.Enforce Housekeeping Standards and maintain a dust-free environment in the data centers 16.Monitor and respond to data center infrastructure alerts 17.
