Description
Responsible for analysis, design, build, test and implementation of production enterprise data warehouses and Analysis Service/Reporting Services. Will also be responsible for database administration of the production databases and provide 24/7 on call duties. The primary focus of this position will be the responsibility of maintaining the production data warehouses and creating reports for business analysis. The secondary focus of this position will be production database administration. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.* Maintain, design, and build data warehouse for enterprise databases.* Ensure the daily data warehouse data refresh and data integrity.* Design and develop reports against the data warehouse using MS reporting services.* Working closely with business departments to provide innovated ideas for new reports and data modeling to assist business decision making* Explore and utilize data mining and data modeling functionalities of MS Analysis Service.* Review, analyze, and provide guidance for work products developed by software development group, including products developed by outside vendors.* Manage database changes using best practices in configuration management.* Consult with the software development staff on systems upgrade, or patch, to coordinate a schedule for applying the required changes.* Configuration, administration and maintenance of the SQL servers.* Manage data backup process and assure ongoing data integrity.* Provide visibility to the performance of the corporate databases.* Actively contribute to ongoing process improvement activities.* Participate in product and project meetings.* Provide time estimates and schedules for completion of project tasks.* Provide status reports to Management.* Provide mentoring, training, and leadership to the junior members in the DBA team.****For Immediate Consideration Please submit your resume to Lex Tyler at lex.tyler@rht.com *****df-tc

Experience/Skills
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor degree in Computer Science or technical training equivalent.* Four to six plus years of work experience in MS data warehouse field using OLAP.* Over two years experience of reporting services.* Strong understanding and working knowledge of SQL Server 2005, 2000 and 7.0* Good understanding of software development life cycle.* Must have experience working on projects from conceptual design to implementation.***Must have proper authorization to work in the US without requiring sponsorship.***Must be local currently to Southern California/San Diego area.
