Description
Need to 5 to 10 years experience supporting NT network both desktop and servers. Linux domain controler / MAC nice to have as well as some web experience. Desire a 4 year degree and local to the western NC area. Perm position to start asap.

Network/Desktop Administrator

Directs, establishes, plans and implements the policies and procedures to
support the organization's PC support services.

Manages the deployment, maintenance, support and upgrade of servers, desktop
PC, hardware, software, operating systems and distributed printers.

Designs and supports server system(s) and supporting software.

Keeps computer equipment, hardware, and software updated to meet
organizational needs.

Assists in the development and maintenance of network communications.

Uses knowledge of LAN/WAN systems to help plan and install internal and
external networks.

Tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make
improvements.

Performs system backups on internal network servers.

Ensures proper functioning of company's information processing system and
makes upgrades as necessary.

Helps business operations utilize information systems to improve efficiency.

Familiar with a variety of IT field's concepts, best practices, and
procedures.

Able to lead and direct the work of others.

Minimum 5 years of experience in IT or experience in a related area.

Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is
expected. Reports to I/T Manager.

Must be able to take a lead role in new IT Projects, both in development
capacity and in a project management capacity.

Strong communications and team skills.
