Description
Senior Production Support Specialist supporting one or more Financial Services Lines of Businesses . This is an individual contributor role that will be accountable for representing all aspects of operational IT systems and interfaces for one or more lines of businesses.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Provide technical applications support in a Level 2 Support team

- Continue to develop and demonstrate thorough understanding of supported business processes and underlying technology

- Develop and exhibit and subject matter expertise on the assigned directly supported applications

- Represent support organization services to the business contacts and partner with them to customize support engagement

- Work with the back-end technical app and infra support teams to ensure

- business impacts and dependency on their app or service is well understood

- develop reports with specific impacts to the supported lines of businesses

- follow up problems and recurring issues with technical teams and keep the business up-to-date

- Coordinate and develop support structure for new IT projects and enhancements as needed

- Assess impacts of issues by partnering with backend support teams

- Communicate incident information effectively to executive level management

- Determine and provide proper level of reporting for daily, weekly and monthly reports

- Escalate and involve the management chain for high impact issues

- Become available for off-hours support on a rotation basis

- Leverage structured problem solving skills to coordinate multi-disciplinary problem resolution

- Ensure compliance of ITIL processes and procedures as appropriate

- Work with 3rd party vendor resources in both staff augmentation and ASP models and represent their services to the business

- Participate and contribute to the performance management process

- Fulfill corporate compliance tasks including mandatory training and weekly timesheetsdf-tc


Experience/Skills
Basic Qualifications:

- 4 year college degree

- 3 years IT experience with a proven track record in one area of technology development, deployment and operation (software development, systems analysis, etc) and be able to demonstrate ability to move into new technology areas.

Preferred Qualifications:

- 5 years experience in IT industry

- Bachelors degree with a technical or management major

- Superior communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

- Business Applications or IT Infrastructure support experience

- Experience in technical operations

- Negotiation skills

- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills

- Knowledge of ITIL process and procedures

- Understanding of Capital One's IT infrastructure

- Experience leading cross functional teams/initiatives

- Experience managing/coaching outsourced or 3rd party service providers

- Ability to establish and maintain successful relationships with internal and external customers
