Job Title: Senior Professional Services Developer My Client has developed a high-speed relational database, the Client's Data Server, which is based on our patent-pending lock-free datastructure technology. We are looking for a Senior Database Development Engineer for pre and post-sales implementation and support. Job Description: Manage as well as hands on working closely with the sales team, potential customer personnel and development staff, including a team in India, completing Proof of Concepts. Assist prospects and customers in porting, testing and implementing their database applications and database schemas to the Client's Data Server. Assist prospects and customers with project planning, design reviews, system testing and deliverables. Analyze client needs, model business processes, implement scalable solutions, control security, troubleshoot problems, and tune performance. Must be familiar with database programming constructs, on multiple platforms including queries, triggers, stored procedures, cursors, replication, data transformation services, and transactions. Responsibilities: 5 years experience in database programming and application development using SQL, ODBC, Oracle OCI, Microsoft ADO, JDBC. Experience with two or more relational database systems such as MS SQLServer, MySQL, Oracle, Informix or Sybase. Familiarity with database programming and administration tools such as Oracle Designer or ERwin, Oracle SQLplus or WinSQL, Oracle Migration Workbench, Tivoli or HP Openview etc. Demonstrated ability to work with C/C++ and Java. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills are required for interfacing with prospect representatives, internal customers and vendor representatives. Individual must be able to work closely in a collaborative role with other team members. Ability to work under pressure and multitask a must. Ability to convert customers needs to the Client's solutions. This company offers a competitive compensation package.
