Description
Responsible for managing server support including monitoring backups and server health, patch deployments, and implementation of change requests into production and life-cycle platforms. This position will also assist with implementation of existing and new projects including building new servers and operating environments

Duties and Responsibilities:
? Responsible for managing server, firewall, and antivirus products and services
? HW and OS support for servers and peripheral equipment
? Troubleshooting hardware/software/network problems
? Running backups and restorations
? Support Active Directory, Exchange and Windows Server-based environments
? Plan and execute core service, operating system and major hardware upgrades
? Provide operational support to key business applications and environments
? Communicate progress on system support issues to management and user groups
? Participate in business driven projects as a representative of the server team
? Represent IT needs, assist in implementation planning and execute tasks to project plan
? Provide timely status updates to management
? At senior levels, responsible for overall administration and management of key infrastructure platforms and services

Qualifications:
? 5 + years of experience working in IT in an enterprise NT/Win2k environment
? BS degree with Computer Technology emphasis or equivalent experience
? Extensive experience administering Windows XP, 2000, Data Center, Server, Active Directory, Exchange 2000/2003
? Proficiency in Internet protocols and standards such as LDAP, SMTP, ESMTP, TCP/IP, POP3, FTP, and NNTP
? Excellent problem solving and communication skillsdf-tc
