JOB ROLE:
The Technical Product Manager (TPM) is an evangelist for the product and represents the users throughout the development process. The TPM must be able to work collaboratively with members of the Product Marketing, Technical Product Management, Engineering, and Quality Assurance Teams.

Primary Responsibilities:
Work with Product Marketing to define and document the feature set and positioning for the technology through competitive analysis, usability testing, wish list generation, change request management and consultation with stakeholders.
Work with UI specialists to define and integrate the UI into functional requirements.
Define and document detailed functional specifications.
Work closely with the Development Team to ensure accurate implementation against the functional specification.
Coordinate the creation of prototypes and usability tests for specific features where applicable.
Collaborate with the Development Manager and QA Manager to prioritize features and defect corrections throughout the development cycle.
Collaborate with the Development Manager to develop and maintain a detailed schedule for release and deployment.
Drive the execution of features, priorities, schedules and deliverables.
Coordinate point and maintenance releases with release management.
Coordinate and manage the beta testing process.
Support Product Marketing and Marketing Communications in the development of technology presentations.
Support Product Marketing in training the sales force, media, customer service and technical support on technology.

Requirements:
6-8 years of experience in the area of product management/program management.
Experience with software development.
Experience with customer research/survey products preferred, but not essential.
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively across diverse groups and management levels.
Strong customer orientation.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Collaborative work style.
BS/BA degree.
