Description
Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. Perot Systems is currently looking for a Enterprise Computing Service Marketing Manager for its Product Marketing Team in Plano, TX. Enterprise Computing includes servers, mainframe, data center, middleware, and storage. Knowledge of each is required.

The Enterprise Service Marketing Manager is the voice of the Enterprise service line. The right candidate will possess excellent knowledge of servers, mainframe, data center, middleware, and storage.

The SMM will create messaging with use cases to address the various needs to communicate service features and benefits. Continual improvement of and consolidation of messaging to keep content up to date and relevant. Define visuals as needed to support messaging. Provide pricing (not cost) analysis and research market trends to guide Service Line roadmap. Manage industry analysts and provide specific content for the PR/AR arena.

Major Areas of Responsibility:
  • Representing the service(s) in the market place to perfect communications for
    market share dominance
  • Collecting market requirements through sales, business development, analyst,
    competitor, press and peer communities to augment continual client and
    non-client contact.
  • Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with
    all departments to execute.
  • Creating communications framework for services
  • Developing uses cases for communications to address various methods, vendors
    and applications of the service in the market
  • Maintaining content management system for rapid client response
  • Grooming existing pursuit materials for improvements in communications
  • Creating industry-analyst specific communications and presentations to
    achieve ranking goals
  • Specifying graphics to clarify and emphasize communications
  • Responding to requests for communications as needed
  • Performing peer reviews to maintain consistency and style guide

    Performance Metrics:
  • Perot Systems presence and ranking with Industry Analysts.
  • Percentage up-to-date content in the CMS.
  • SLA compliance with new use-cases or materials.
  • RFP response time reduction
  • Down select ratio of RFP responses dependent on services

    Key Skill Requirements:
  • SMM are the voice the service line to the internal and external clients.
  • The SMM must be a premier communicator with exemplary writing skills and an innate ability to make very complex concepts and offerings simple and intuitive.
  • The SMM collects data from the market to help guide the service line(s) they
    represent.
  • The SMM provides a roadmap for the services lines based on market conditions and achieving specific goals important to the analyst community.
  • Focusing on making the service line successful, the SMM needs to be constantly
    hunting market sources for information and data that will help improve the service and the communications that represent it.
  • The SMM must be able to interact on a peer level with sales and business
    development and work to be seen as a valuable resource in the pursuit model
    and client relations team.

    Vocational Requirements:
  • Experience in marketing communications, product/service management
  • Experience as sole contributor in a leveraged team
  • Experience in product/service lifecycle management
  • Experience in high-technology and comfort with technical concepts.

    Educational Requirements:
  • Degree in a communications focused area (marketing, international business,
    public relations).
