Description
On a daily basis, this engineer will take on the responsibility for the functioning of the website, it's hosting, security and the back-end database which is behind it. It's written in PHP and mysql, and it communicates with a central registry in Moldova, written the same way. There are also resellers who use affiliate links and EPP (some with TLS) to communicate with the database, which in turn reports the transactions to the Moldovan registry. All the connections to the e-commerce components, domestic and offshore will fall within this new hire's purview. He or she will report directly to the Director of Technology and Design. This Senior Software Engineer will also work with the other two members of the programming team, to design the future of the website, and those sites which we produce for our customers. Our client also provides hosting and e-mail for their domain name customers, and this person will have to help me with that as well.

This position is in Jersey City with a small company, great people and a very nice environment on the water.

This person is going to have to be the answer person for all things technical in detail. This is perfect for a big 24/7/365 type responsibility in a startup environment.
