Description
United Toll Systems has a need for Software Engineers
for its ALabama location for current and future
development of state of the art technology
Candidate selected will be responsible for but not limited to:
  • Maintaining existing Visual Basic code
  • Analyzing, programming and designing for new software and technologies
  • Programming /coding with emphasis on C#, C, C++,VB.6
  • Programming interfaces for serial, network, machine control devices, ladder logic, PLC programming and image processing technology
  • Debugging and implementation of current and new software
  • Systematic approach and appropriate documentation of program code
  • End-user documentation for resulting software products
  • Setting up and configuring components in a Microsoft environment
  • Familiarity and ability to work with Visual Studio.NET architecture
  • Familiarity and understanding of image storage, retrieval, compression and manipulation


    Experience/Skills
    • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
    • Candidate should have 2 years progressively more responsible experience in software development and analysis
    • Experience and background in VB.6, C#, C, C++, Windows 32-bit programming
    • Working familiarity with Visual Studio.Net architecture
    • Good experience in 3 tier development and n-tier development
    • Sound working knowledge of COM/COM+ development

      Other desired skills:
      • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
      • Candidate should have 2 years progressively more responsible experience in software development and analysis
      • Experience and background in VB.6, C#, C, C++, Windows
