Description
Robert Half Technology is partnering with a company in northern Cincinnati for a software engineer on a contract-to-hire basis.
As part of the product development team, you will work as part of a growing team of knowledgeable developers on exciting, market-leading solutions.
The position will require involvement in the development, testing and support phases of our products, using the Microsoft .NET Framework and C# to construct web-based applications and supporting services for Windows servers.
This position is ideal for someone with a passion for web development and creating high-quality work while learning and improving your skill set.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Developing and testing code
• Writing unit tests
• Maintaining and enhancing existing products
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent work experience
• 2 years experience with Visual Studio .NET, C#/VB.NET, and ASP.NET
• Strong programming knowledge, including OOP concepts, fluency in C#, JavaScript, JSP, PHP, C++ or other similar object-oriented language.
• Strong web development skills, with strong HTML and JavaScript skills
• Some experience with CSS, DHTML, and AJAX and Web 2.0 concepts a plus
• Good working knowledge of one or more databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL, and ability to write SQL queries
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn, to try new things, and have fun
