Description
Perform application build and release duties supporting SDLC/project lifecycles - IT software development initiatives. Release Management Specialist is responsible for supporting all application builds from ClearCase and deployments to Development environments. Responsibilities include the following items:
. Work with Release PM to define release schedules/dependencies and support all project release requirements.
. Work with CM to coordinate code merges supporting release activities.
. Deploy application builds to target Development environments as directed by Release PM.
. Work with Development DBA's to coordinate database deployment with application release.
. Work with Development and Systems Engineering to troubleshoot/remediate application build/deployment issues as they arise.
. Provide timely/responsive support and communication of release activities, status, & issues.
. Provide release-specific configuration documentation required to support application functionality.
. Occasional after-hours support required.
. Reports to Director of Development/Operations

Experience/Skills
Core Competencies:
. Broad understanding of both systems and application architectures with working knowledge of how the two interact.
. Detailed understanding of Windows Server (2000/2003), IIS, and associated infrastructure configuration files.
. Experience with .NET applications/data flow and SQL databases preferred.
. Excellent troubleshooting skills to isolate root cause of technical issues required.
. Strong attention to detail with solid documentation skills.
. Strong communication/collaboration skills with ability to triage issues as necessary.
. Ability to effectively prioritize, manage timelines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
