Job Description/Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility is to function as Solutions Architect on initiatives and provide end-to-end architecture. Gets aligned with a specific Line of Business and maintains close working relationships with senior management to understand Line of Business goals & requirements. Influences Technology decisions & directions for the aligned Line of Business. Apply architectural principles, guidelines, standards, reference architecture, patterns & frameworks to deliver consistent and cost effective solutions. Provide ad-hoc consulting at project/initiative level. Participate or lead proof of concepts and prototypes. Conduct Design and Code reviews. Should have good business acumen, broad knowledge of technologies & tools and be a subject matter expert in certain areas. Should be able to quickly understand the business requirements and help the various stakeholders in visualizing the solution, articulate the architecture/design in various UML/non-UML diagrams and guide the development team to implement the solution. Provide thought leadership and drive consensus among the stakeholders. Continuously looks for ways to reduce cost and increase speed to market. Should have strong leadership skills to bring all the stakeholders together, should be a consensus builder and thought leader. Works under minimal supervision, receiving general guidance from more seasoned architects or senior managers. Excellent verbal/written communication skills are must.



Required Skills: (Must Have)
Must have previous experience as an architect on Enterprise level applications. Should have previous experience in designing and developing Enterprise level applications. Experience in Financial Industry especially in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Corporate Workplace Lines of Businesses. Must have experience in creating Conceptual and Logical Architecture documents. Architecture or Design experience in Portal (Vignette, SAP, BEA), Business Intelligence (Microstrategy, Hyperion, SAS) and Data/Information Integration (Mematrix etc) solutions. Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) & Web Services. Should have mastered modeling techniques using UML. Should have working experience in Together, Rational or other major modeling tools. Experience in Object Oriented Design. Should have developed solutions using Design Patterns. Strong knowledge of J2EE and J2SE technologies. Experience with various UI technolgies such as RIA, AJAX, JSPs, Struts, JSF, and /or Tiles. Development experience with various application servers (BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere, SAP NetWeaver, JBoss). Should have extensive experience on application performance, security, availability, scalability etc. Experience with Object Relational Mapping tools such as Hibernate.



Desired Skills:
Experience in Business Process Management/Workflow, especially with tools such as Savvion and Fujistu's interstage BPM.. Knowledge of Grid Computing Architecture. Knowledge and experience in various RDBMS systems such as Oracle, DB2, MS-SQL & MySQL. Knowledge of Data Warehousing technologies such as Terada. Microsoft .Net experience would be a plus. SAP NetWeaver Platform experience would be a big plus.
