Sr Project EngineerLocation: Irvine, CaliforniaJob Description :IMA system engineer for the A350 Inerting system. Manages technical interface and requirements between system and IMA software teams. In this capacity, this position ensures the timely and efficient completion of larger, complicated or multiple projects to achieve company cost and customer service objectives. Acts as project leader with senior level technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting complex technical projects or major phases of projects involving the design and development of new or improved products and/or processes. * Manages interface between inerting team and IMA software provided (Parker ESD) for Airbus A350 fuel tank inerting program. * Translates system requirements into requirements for the IMA software (Parker ESD). * International travel will be required. * Strong communication skills required, both oral and written. Requirements * Bachelors degree (BS) in mechanical, electrical, or aerospace engineering or a related technical discipline. * Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through ten or more years of related experience. MS preferred. * System engineering experience - fuel or pneumatic/ECS products a plus. * Controller and/or software management experience required. * Electrical/electronics knowledge required. IMA experience a plus. * Strong project management skills, including schedule, SOW and WBS preparation. Knowledge of DOORS a plus. * Demonstrated capability to manage and perform trade studies at the system level, including evaluation of the impact to the aircraft with respect to energy consumption, volume, reliability and weight. * Demonstrated design-to-cost process implementation. * Experience managing suppliers and customers with respect to requirements definition, specification generationdf-tc
