Description:
The Senior Test Engineer works directly with R&D Engineers and Designers to implement test plans for future and existing PCAs and other electrical assemblies and systems. The purpose of this position is to implement a test strategy from ATE to functional test, to system test, and to ensure that the PCA design is fully testable and automated, providing a high yield at final integration and system test. Interfaces with Digital, Analog, and Software Design Engineers to define test parameters and vectors for the various PCAs. Interfaces with the PCB layout person to define the appropriate test points. Writes the appropriate test procedures, (board level test and system level test) and trains the test technicians on proper execution and troubleshooting. Provides the appropriate software or firmware code to perform and automate the test required. Supervises the fabrication and troubleshooting of the test fixtures. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
The Senior Test Engineer is required to have an undergraduate or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years of experience in either the manufacturing or R&D environment. Analog, Digital, and Microprocessor circuitry knowledge is a must. Knowledge of Lab View and GPIB programming is desirable . Proficiency with typical lab equipment (Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, Counter/Timer, Phase/Gain Analyzer, Logic Analyzer, DMM, etc.), as well as have troubleshooting skills of analog and digital circuitry from the system level down to the component level. Must be computer literate (MS Office, DOS, Windows NT) and possess good verbal and written communication skills. Strong project management skills.df-tc
