Location: Atlanta, 30350

Salary: Excellent


Key to this role is the WebSphere and hands on experience.

The individual in this position routinely works under demanding deadlines and often handles heavy workloads, operating with only limited supervision. Some travel (25%) should be expected.

Absolutely REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Candidate must have at least 2 out of the following three toolsets (mandatory requirement):-
1. WebSphere Application Server (at least 5 years)
2. WebSphere Portal Server (at least 3 years)
3. WebSphere Business Integration suite (at least 1-2 years)
- Must have been a lead architect in at least 2 large-scale J2EE projects
- The individual should have at least 8-12 years of I/T experience on a variety of platforms and technologies with at least 5 years of hands-on developing N-Tier/SOA web-based business applications.
- Mandatory requirement on the following Rational toolset (at least 3-4 years) -
1. Rational Software Architect
2. RAD
3. ClearCase

Other Skills Highly Desired:
- Professional experience with NET, Java, Web-Services, EJB, Servlets, and Java Server Faces.
- IBM Web Sphere Suite of products Portal Server, Process Server and Application Server
- Must be an expert in delivering projects using RUP methodology using IBMs Rational tool set
- strong understanding of deployment architectures (h/w, s/w, load balancing and clustering for high availability and fail-over) for J2EE based projects
- strong experience in performance testing/tuning of large J2EE applications
- Strong object-oriented, design and development. Use of object oriented development methodology. Ability to establish and manage a virtual team of individuals who may report administratively to other departments. Project leadership, project estimation, strong written and oral communications skills. Proven track-record of design and development of large, complex, transaction oriented, mission critical business systems and the ability to troubleshoot and tune such systems. Strong web-security knowledge and experience as well as experience integrating with back-end systems.
- Strong experience in relational databases such as DB2, Oracle etc.
- Experience in usage of rules engine (e.g. Fair Isaac) is a plus
- Experience in security architecture design using IBM Tivoli Identity and Access manager products


Job Description:
This senior level position is expected to provide thought leadership in the development and governance of Standards and Guidelines, and Reference Architectures as they relate to Web-based product development using J2EE and IBM Web Sphere Tool Suite. The Candidate will be responsible for leading, from an organizational perspective, the design and development of J2EE-based products and components with a focus on reuse. This individual will provide architectural leadership and guidance to several different application development groups. The candidate will evaluate current capabilities and develop enterprise wide standards that meet the needs of the business. The candidate will also be the driving force behind migration of current applications to a single, consistent platform across the entire product suite. Candidate should be able and willing to roll up their sleeves and offer hands-on assistance as required in the project
