Genesis10 is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager for a 6 month contract position in the Pasadena, CA area. This project is scheduled to begin soon.

**We are seeking candidates within commuting distrance of Pasadena.
Responsible for detailed project management for an enterprise-scale infrastructure project.
This position will work under a supervision of a Lead Project Manager.
* Utilize standard project management processes and tools as defined by the National Operations Project Office, including, but not limited to:
- maintaining project information repository entries,
- preparing service and change requests,
- developing and maintaining resource forecast and utilization reports.

* Documentation of project deliverables, scope and content, (i.e., high level designs, approaches, etc.) including all project decisions.
* Develop project planning and communications documents, including project plans using MS-Project, presentations using MS-PowerPoint, and general project documentation using MS-Word.
* Ensure consistent implementation of project processes across common project objectives
* Negotiate adequate resources are available to ensure delivery commitments are met
* Manage project issues, including issue identification, escalation, and resolution status tracking
* Document each task in plan with assignee and planned start/planned completion/actual completion dates
* Ensure each task is tracked to completion
* Identify and resolve issues and constraints that may affect completion dates
* Determine where key Go/No Go decision steps fall in the overall activities documented in the project plan
* Provide detailed management reporting for project status
* Develop, monitor and report on budgets as required, including periodic cost and productivity analyses and status reporting

Project Specific Experience/Skills:
The project objectives include acting as an overall IT Program Manager in the implementation of new applications within the client's Information Technology environment.
The National Operations Project Office provides a single point of entry to manage the efforts required within National Operations to implement the required technology infrastructure. As such, the candidate should have experience in the engineering of systems platforms, including network, server, and storage components. Also important is experience in deploying applications, within both the server and client/desktop systems environments.
The goal the Configuration Management project is to produce and maintain information about the IT enterprise in order to effectively manage the enterprise.
This effort will leverage a wide range of deployed Tivoli products to create an system of record (called a Configuration Management Database) of all IT assets including applications and the relationships between them.
Tivoli auto-discovery capabilities for all IP addressable devices will be utilized to keep this information up to date in near real-time. Scope includes: applications, servers, about 130,000 desktops, databases, storage, and networks
Deep understanding of the ITIL process framework and service management concepts is desired.
Direct experience with the IBM/Tivoli products is desired.
* Plan and facilitate application packaging efforts for desktop deployment
* Provide direction on all aspects of the client application deployment process
* Manage and coordinate the completion of CDP support documentation prior to application/system introduction
* Partner with realization team members in regard to application readiness
* Understand and provide oversight to platform design and supportability
* Ensure Disaster Recovery is planned for and executed
* Ensure all project change activities are approved prior to the change taking place.df-tc
