Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for a Sr. Security Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, AZ.

Job Responsibilities:
Provide data security design expertise to numerous projects with a specific focus on web and portal related initiatives. The role includes the development of data security best practices for application development within the organization. The individual will work with the application team to develop operational processes, system configurations, and data security controls for the application. The successful candidate will be able to thrive in a fast paced environment with responsibilities in multiple concurrent project efforts and dynamic business requirements. The successful candidate will be a problem solver, a strategic thinker, and able to work with minimal direct supervision. The candidate must be able to evaluate business needs and security requirements in context and have the ability to negotiate reasonable solutions between business and technical leaders.

Required Skills:
  • Candidates must have 10+ years demonstratable strengths in four or more of the following areas.
    -Data Security Architecture and Design
    -Novell E-Directory Design and Strategic Management
    -Active Directory Design and Strategic Management
    -LAN/WAN Engineering
    -Direct Security Technologies - Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Content Management and Filtering Technologies
    -Network Operating Systems Security Configuration - with strengths in one or more of the following - Unix/Linux, Windows NT - 2003, VMS, OS/400
    -Electronic encryption, key management, E-commerce and secure EDI
    -Application Programming and Architecture
    -MS SQL or Oracle Database Security Engineering
    -HIPAA

    Desired Skills:
  • Strong Technical Writing and Documentation Abilities
  • Strong Verbal Communication and Team Interaction Skills
  • Healthcare Background
  • Smartcard or other Token Authentication Technologies

    Minimum Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

    Minimum Certifications or Other Professional Credentials:
  • Professional certification in area of expertise is desirable, along with participation in nationally recognized information security organizations.
