Under general direction – responsible for all administrative, operational and technical aspects of the telephony infrastructure including related data communication facilities. Responsible for the planning, design, analysis and implementation of all telephony systems. Monitors said telephony systems for continued efficiencies.

Job Description

Coordinates and manages all regional work tickets
Plans and coordinates all high-level technology implementations, including PBX and PBX related technologies
Provides high-level guidance to Telecom Staff.
Manages telecom circuit inventory
Plans and coordinates, via change control process, all switch and switch device upgrades and related maintenance\
Provides effective leadership to Telecom technical staff
Oversees telecom contractors
Provides effective routine analysis of telephony trunking for cost efficiencies
Ensures all telephony systems are routinely backup up
Effectively manages all telephony systems within assigned regions
Provides effective designs for new business
Actively involved in Telecom cost accounting exercises and the processing of telephony bills
Actively involved in corporate security, ensures compliance with all standards and processes.
Keeps up to date with new technologies.
Participates in on-call rotation


Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 years of telecom “hands-on” experience

Avaya call center technology experience is required


Cisco ICM Integration is a plus
Must have a working knowledge with International telephony integration
Must have a working knowledge VoIP technology
Must have a good understanding of WAN/LAN infrastructure
Must have a working knowledge of Telecom connectivity – including signaling, provisioning and troubleshooting.
Must be detailed oriented with emphasis on customer satisfaction
Good Organizational skills
Good communications skills
Self starter
Good problem solving skills
