Description
Provides network support to operational computer networks. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assembles and configures network components and associated services. Sets up and maintains basic network operations, including assembly of network hardware. Performs network troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common network problems.

Upgrades network hardware and software components as required. Installs, upgrades and configures network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and files services. Provides users with network technical support. Responds to needs and questions of users concerning their access of network resources. Establishes network users, user environments, directories, and security for networks being installed. Installs and tests necessary software and hardware.

Required Experience:
8 to 10 years working in a large and complex environment as a Unix System Administrator/Unix Implementation Engineer on different flavors: Sun Solaris 10/9/8/
Shell Scripting (Korn, Bourne, C), PERL, AWK, SED, SUDO, SSH, Samba
Hands-on experience working on Veritas and Solaris Volume Manager/DiskSuite.
Experience in RAID Technologies.
Well versed with TCP/IP and networking. Hands-on experience in NIS, NFS, DNS, SMTP, Sendmail.
Good knowledge of Logical Domain, Hypervisor, Logical Domain Manager, Logical Domain Roles; Control Domain, Service Domain, I/O Domain, Guest Domain, Dynamic Reconfiguration, Delayed Reconfiguration.
Installing Logical Domain Manager and Solaris Security Tool Kit, Setting up Services and Logical Domains; Create and Verify Services: Virtual Disk Server, Virtual Switch Service, Virtual Console Concentrator, Setting up Control Domain.

Additional Experience:
Creating Zones, ZFS filesystem, Zone administrative commands: zpool, zfs, zonecfg and zoneadm.
Very good knowledge about zones, LDOMS and containers.
Excellent communications skills and Documentation skills.
Experience with EMC DMX/CX SAN environments, Powerpath, ECC
We are looking for this technical resource to also provide best practices on server provisioning documentation and management.
