Description
Sr. Web Infrastructure Specialist

This position will be responsible for maintaining and administering UG Web environment with regards to applications and services.

. Support the development of infrastructure products and services to include Web, Directory (LDAP), Security, and Application services.
. Collaborate with Network, Development, and E-Business areas to insure sound security methods and practices are in place for Internet/Intranet services.
. Provide Administration support for Unix Server environment.
. Manage and maintain web-based environments for software development activities to support various phases of the software development cycle. These phases would include Development, integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production.
. Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support a growing emphasis on web based solutions.

Experience/Skills
Experience and Skills needed
. 5 to 7 years of proven Web site management experience with WebSphere Application Server, IBM HTTP Server, including knowledge and experience with good site structure and security practices, installation and configuration.
. 4 years of proven WebSphere experience running on an AIX platform to include knowledge and experience of system administration concepts
. Advanced WebSphere administration skills to include but not limited to clustering, horizontal and vertical scaling, independent use of the deployment manager.
. In depth knowledge of how to administer the J2EE architecture to include EARs, WARs, EJBs, Servlets, JSPs
. Excellent knowledge of AIX operating system
. Sun LDAP experience using iPlanet Enterprise LDAP Server
. Unix scripting experience to include Perl and ksh
. JAVA programming experience with an understanding of HTML and XML and distributed application design.
. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems by reviewing logs, and performing various UNIX commands.
. In depth knowledge of web-based security practices including SSL and server digital certificates.
. Independent self-starter with proven ability to operate in a team environment
. Proven ability to work with ambiguous requirements.
. Excellent communication skills and written skills
. Excellent knowledge of networking and communication technologies.
