Job Summary

Responsible for technical delivery of complex development efforts. Must mentor ABAP developers in the design and development of interfaces, reports, and custom applications. Duties include working with business clients to translate complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms and computing environments; coordinating project activities with business clients and other IT organizations; and acting as an expert technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development process.

Candidate should have experience with SAP FI and SRM modules.

Must possess strong technical as well as project management skills.

Job Responsibilities

Provides sophisticated technical &/or project leadership for large, cross-functional projects

Works with clients to proactively identify long-term functional business requirements; interacts with senior management on technical matters;
significant outside contacts

Advanced knowledge of hardware/ software; applies extensive technical expertise across several major technical areas.

Develops overall project plan; may provide input to long-term IT strategy necessary to achieve organizational objectives

No appreciable direction; exercises latitude in project development; work is reviewed in terms of meeting objectives

Ensure new ideas , methodologies, and development techniques addressing a wide range of technical issues are proactively communicated to appropriate project team members .

Basic Qualifications

The incumbent should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Academic Equivalent.

Ongoing training to keep abreast of current technologies will be essential in this position given the complex systems environment.

At least 8 years extensive development experience in interfaces, conversions and reporting using SAP’s development tools including ABAP/4, IDOC/ALE, RFC’s, ITS, HTML, SAPscript and cross-functional implementation experience in the Financial, Human Resources, and Sales and Distribution modules of SAP is required.

Relocation is not available for this position.
