Description
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Responsible for structural testing of all types of aircraft parts as well as assembly of the general aviation aircraft. Responsibilities include layout definities and integrity evaluations, structural dynamic simulations, thermal evaluations, tolerance testing, development of test plans and identification of testing trends, etc. SKILLS >> Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Experience in structural analysis methods of metallic and advance composite structures. Familiar with development of external loads and determination of critical design load conditions for the aircraft structure. Good knowledge in general aviation aircraft analysis procedures is required. Technical work experience is required in aread including layout definition in support of manufacturing trade studies and structural integrity evaluations, FEA analysis of linear and nonlinear, structural dynamic simulation, thermal evaluations, dynamic evaluations, durability and damage tolerance, material allowable development, structural test plan and test result correlation report, identification of critical failure modes and trends, and weight control. Important Information Candidates with experience from a major general aviation manufacturing company such as Bombardier, Cessna, Cirrus, Gulfstream, Lancair (PAC) or Raytheon are preferred. EDUCATION >> B.S. or M.S. degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering, and a minimum of 10 years experience required.df-tc
